OUR PURPOSE

The primary purpose of The W. C. Mepham H.S. Alumni Association, Bellmore, New York, is to encourage contact among fellow alumni through reunions, publications, our message forum, and through person-to-person contacts.

Mepham Alumni Message Forum and Chat Room

We have established a Message Forum for Mepham High School Alumni. It's a great place to get into discussions with your classmates, or even jump into a chat room. Simply go to http://forums.delphiforums.com/MephamAlumni and a quick signin gets you there.

We maintain contact through our registry, a database containing names and addresses of over 17,000 Mepham alumni. If you are not in our registry, or if you have changed your address, please register here. This registry is never used for commercial purposes. See our privacy statement

REUNIONS - Class reunions and area reunions are held all over the country. The Alumni Association provides guidance in many ways to have a successful and economical reunion.

PUBLICATIONS

The Mepham Alumni Association publishes Quarterdeck, an annual newsletter sent in late winter to all known alumni. It publishes Scuttlebutt, an annual magazine sent in mid-summer to all paid Alumni Association members. To see more about our publications click here


SCHOOL SERVICE

The Mepham Alumni Association provides support for school activities with scholarships, honors for notable alumni, and aid for current activities.

Funds for scholarships and awards are derived from Alumni Association memberships and contributions.

SCHOLARSHIPS

$15,800 in Alumni Awards - Through the very generous contributions of our Mepham alumni, scholarships in the amount of $15,800 were awarded on May 31, 2005 at the annual Mepham Awards Assembly. To see a description of the awards and the list of students receiving them click here.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS

Each year the Mepham H.S. Alumni Association contributes funds for various high school activities, including the Most Valuable Mepham Wrestler Award at the annual Sprig Gardner Wrestling Tourney, and the Homecoming Weekend activities. WHO'S WHO AWARDS

. The Mepham Alumni Association maintains a plaque in the foyer honoring Mepham alumni who have made significant accomplishments in their fields of work and outstanding contributions to the welfare of mankind. From 1964 to 2007 there were one hundred and fifty nine Who's Who Honorees. To see the entire list Click Here.

Class Representatives find alumni, publish newsletters, and maintain contact with their class. They will help organize committees to run a reunion. If you feel your class should be having a reunion, and none is listed below, contact your class representative for assistance.

MEPHAM — PAST AND PRESENT

HISTORY AND MEMORABILIA - Come visit our history section for a walk down memory lane. There are personal profiles of Mepham High founders, exerpts from old copies of the Buccaneer, etc.

The Mepham Alumni Association maintains a collection of Mepham memorabilia and welcomes all contributions of programs, yearbooks, and other items of interest to be displayed at class reunions.

MEPHAM TODAY - We will keep you informed of the activities at Mepham High, awards, sports victories, etc. Here is the way to feel attached to the present-day school.

Your membership entitles you to participate in the activities of the Mepham Alumni Association, and receive its publications. You will receive a copy of Scuttlebutt, our magazine published each summer, and Quarterdeck, our newsletter, published each winter. Your financial support helps us continue our work in aiding the alumni, the students, and the school.
